The direct answer

Can Magento stores accept crypto with MiraclePay?

Not yet through a dedicated plugin. MiraclePay's Magento crypto payment plugin is coming soon and is currently in development. When released, it is planned to add a crypto payment method to eligible Magento and Adobe Commerce stores, keep the payment connected to the Magento order, and route the merchant-side outcome through an approved MiraclePay account configuration.

Supported editions, versions, assets, networks, currencies, markets and pricing have not been announced. They will be confirmed with the release and during onboarding. Merchants who want to prepare can contact MiraclePay now to discuss their store and preferred settlement route.

Two planned settlement routes

What is the difference between crypto-to-crypto and crypto-to-fiat?

Planned route A

Crypto-to-crypto settlement

The customer would pay with a supported crypto asset and the eligible merchant would receive an approved crypto asset or stablecoin. This route is intended for businesses that already hold digital assets or prefer to keep revenue on-chain.

Planned route B

Crypto-to-fiat settlement

The customer would pay with a supported crypto asset while the eligible merchant receives settlement in a supported traditional currency. This route is intended for stores that want to offer crypto checkout without managing crypto on their balance sheet.

How is a Magento crypto payment planned to work?

  1. 01

    The Magento order is created

The shopper checks out in the existing Magento storefront. MiraclePay is planned to appear as a payment method once the store has an approved account and configured plugin.

  2. 02

The shopper pays from a wallet

The checkout is planned to present only the crypto assets and networks approved for that merchant account, with clear wallet payment instructions.

  3. 03

The payment status returns to the order

The intended design keeps the payment status attached to the Magento order reference, so fulfilment and support teams are not matching wallet transfers by hand.

  4. 04

    The approved settlement route applies

Depending on the route configured for the account, the merchant outcome is planned as either crypto or stablecoin settlement, or settlement in a supported traditional currency.

This describes the intended design. Final behaviour will be documented with the release.
